Space Micro Delivers Space Cameras for LEO Program

San Diego, CA – October 18, 2018

Space Micro delivered multiple space cameras to an undisclosed customer for a LEO spacecraft program.

Space Micro’s 5MP camera is a state-of-the-art optical system leveraging an advanced visible imager chip. Following the development and delivery of engineering models in 2017, the flight units passed space qualification testing at Space Micro’s San Diego facility.

“Our space cameras are now in full production and space-qualified through temperature cycling, vibration, and thermal vacuum,” said Dave Strobel, Space Micro’s CEO. “Multiple applications for DoD, NASA, and commercial programs include earth imaging, space situational awareness, and use as star cameras and star trackers.”
