Space Micro Delivers Satellite Subsystem for DoD LEO

Space Micro announced today the delivery of space-flight-qualified µSDR-C™ units to Dynetics, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Leidos, based in Huntsville, Ala.. The units will be used to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command’s (USASMDC) Lonestar program.

Space Micro’s µSDR-C™ is a low SWAP-C modular, RF transceiver with data rates of 1 kbps to 42 Mbps. It uses higher modulation codes and a frequency range of 70 MHz to 6 GHz. The µSDR-C’s modular approach allows Space Micro to easily adapt for higher frequency applications, such as X-Band, Ka-Band or V-Band. Users can reconfigure the µSDR-C’s firmware and software in orbit. The µSDR-C’s blend of survivability, programmability, reliability, and value made it ideal for this DoD mission.
